… an expression of nature

About

As a multi award winning photographer since the mid ‘80’s, Brian Kowald's greatest passion and inspiration is now submerged in nature; embracing the natural beauty of birds, nudes and earthscapes. Brian maintains the quality of his work throughout the production process by personally printing each piece. All prints are created on archival paper or canvas, with limited editions  using the museum preferred Giclee process; ensuring its quality and durability. (what is a Giclee) However the fundamental nature of Brian’s work is far more than what appears on the surface. His unique process is to capture the essence of the moment, while capturing the image; and using a variety of methods to translate that experience to the viewing audience. This in depth creative approach can be explained in a passage from Dr. Wayne Dyer (The Power of Intention, 2004) “Artist’s creations aren’t merely a function of the quality of the paint, brush, canvas, or any other combination of materials they use. To understand and grasp the creation of a masterpiece, we have to take into account the thoughts and feelings of the artist. We must know and enter into the movement of the creative mind of the artist in order to understand the creation process. The artist creates something out of nothing! Without the thoughts and feelings of the artist, there would be no art. It’s their particular creative mind in contemplation that links to intention to give birth to what we call an artistic creation.”
